About Me: “Hi everyone, my name is Fadel Batal and I am an international student from Aleppo, Syria. I am a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing both BSE and MSE in Bioengineering on pre-MD/PhD track. Aside from medical science, some of my passions include sports, roadtrips, and tutoring. One fun fact about me is that I have a cat and sixteen Cockatiel birds back home.”

Recent Achievement: "Some recent achievements I am proud of being offered are the Penn World Scholarship, Dean's list for first year, and writing my first Chemistry Lab exam for Science Olympiad at University of Pennsylvania after being a member and a mentor of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for three years.”

Aspirations: “In five years, I hope to be pursuing an MD/PhD program, hopefully somewhere on the East Coast. My goal is to pursue further education in medicine and gain experience in biomedical research during my time as an undergraduate at Penn.”
